Saintpaulia Mix Pot 12 cm in an auction tray
Saintpaulia de Saintpaulia comes from the jungles of the East African USambara Mountains and belongs to the sneriaceae (Gloxinia family). The ideal temperature for this plant is 18 - 20 ºC (room temperature) throughout the year. However, make sure that the temperature does not fall below 15 ºC and mainly prevent sudden temperature changes. Give the Saintpaulia a shaded place in the summer and a little lighter in the winter. The Saintpaulia does not tolerate dry air, disadvantageous for this plant are window sills just above a heating (in winter). Keep the plant evenly moist with lukewarm water, root rot occurs with an abundance of water. Do not give cold water on the leaf and in the heart, this gives brown spots. Leaf spots are also created with a sunny place. Do not spray the plant during the flowering period. The plant has a small food need; Fertilizing is only required during the growing period.
