Description
You can choose from 2 types of glass vases: an elongated cylinder glass and a bulb glass on a base with 2 options, namely a cerise Vanda and a blue Vanda.
Vanda: The jewel of the orchids
Origin Vanda All sorts of variations of Vandas growing in the wild can be found in the north of Thailand. They are high in the tree with their roots hanging loose in the air or thrown around the tree. The carrots absorb the water of the morning dew and a rain shower very quickly. Most Vandas who come on the market are intersections of the Blue Vanda Coerulea with the two -tone Vanda Sanderiana. Vandas in garden centers are increased in a laboratory.
Care Vanda de Vanda can be kept well in the living room, but requires the necessary care. Hang the Vanda in the house as light as possible, but it will not tolerate direct sunlight in the summer. The Vanda can also be put in a glass vase. The roots then grow to the glass. From May to October the plant can also hang outside if the night temperature does not fall under 6 degrees Celsius. Do not hang the plant in full sun. Only give water in very dry weather. The dew of the night is enough for the plant to grow. Fertilize 1-2 times a month.
Potting the vanda should not be overpoted! Water and fertilize. Giving water by filling the vase with lukewarm water and emptying again after 10 minutes. If your Vanda hangs in a box, then immerse the plant with a box in a bucket of lukewarm water. Dip the carrots once a day in light conditions. In dark conditions twice a week. In the growing season (March-September), fertilize twice a month with the same concentration as other orchids. Don't fertilize in the winter.
After flowering, re -bloom cut the branch as short as possible, without damaging the plant. Vandas do not have a fixed flowering time and can bloom more times a year. The new button is developing under a new magazine. A new branch grows from this.
Cut the branch again after flowering. A new branch will grow under a new leaf. Sometimes the plant skips a leaf. The care during flowering remains the same.
The Vanda is offered in an elongated Lisanne glass of 70 cm.
